Universal Geneve Tri-Compax Ref. 222100/2
The ref. 222100/2 was one of the last Tri-Compax variants that Universal produced, this one dating to around early to mid 1960s. One of the sportiest iterations of the Tri-Compax, this reference stands out with a gorgeous brushed finish on the dial, with an external scale, adding to the sportiness of the overall layout. The dauphine hour and minute hands pair incredibly well with the applied baton hour markers which have developed a lovely patina. The lugs have a twist that remind us of UG's Gérald Genta designed Polerouter. This example is paired to a lovely suede band from Molequin.
